The simplest type of variation is the variation set. In this form of composition, two or more sections are based on the same musical material, which is treated with different variant techniques in each section. We generally identify harmony in music with the realization of notes one by one. Contrasts, chromatics and sounds are revealed one after the other to lead us to an unknown path but the revealing process in painting is different. Here, colors and shapes appear at one and finding harmony and rhythm only occurs with the complete and total presence of the work of art. As time passes, it’s as if these pieces are together in a new order and the artwork from the beginning; Suspended from darkness to light and from light to darkness, from form to color and from color to form on the two dimensions of the canvas like a pendulum. Perhaps the harmony is the result of such an ongoing passage.
