he main characteristics of Sima Shahmoradi’s paintings in the last decade is providing a dynamic proportion between intertwined layers of blur pictures of figures and objects which are at times reflected in mirrors or are re-created behind frosted glass.
One of the constant features of Shahmoradi’s paintings in the last few years, which has become an expression in the texture of her artworks, is the pro-blem of reflection and the reflex of a picture into another one, which has en-abled her to enrich figures and objects with a metaphoric and allegoric deno-tation. This is why everything she paints is hidden behind the blur and dim layer and the painter tries to reveal it through the eloquent manner of pain-ting, a revelation of reality into reality which based on a beholder’s percep-tions, form an explicit elements in one’s unconscious and eventually, reveal the reality of the picture from behind of the canvas.
