In a world where forms have separated from familiar lines and transformed into new, fluid shapes, the eyes still watch us; Eyes that seem to emerge from within soft, cloth-like volumes, to remind us that the world is full of fragmented pieces each one must be sewn together with patience, thread, and a needle. This collection is the result of an encounter between fabric and imagination, stitching and storytelling; an experience of “painting” with more tangible materials: fabric, thread, sewing, and volume. The colors have transcended the canvas and come alive within the warp and weft. The work hangs in a space between seeing and feeling; a trace of a memory of being and not being, still remaining on the body. Each piece, without drawing a clear boundary between face and figure, human and bird, imagination and reality, is a fragment; from a nightmare or a dream, from childhood or the present, from nowhere or everywhere.
